Cultivating self-compassion is an essential practice for Highly Sensitive People! We are usually highly compassionate people, but we can struggle to prioritise compassion that is directed towards ourselves. This self-compassion is essential when we're going through challenges or experiencing difficult emotions.
No matter how much I 'know' the importance of self-compassion - I can still forget and slip into old habits where my inner-critic takes over! Without self-compassion, we can start to feel overwhelmed, overloaded, and then we feel unable to stay present with ourselves or with others around us.
In this workshop, we'll talk about the benefits of self-compassion, the importance of practice, and then go through an activity together. Doing this together as a group is so beneficial - self-compassion enables us to feel more grounded, centred and present. It's only in that space that we can really extend the same energy out to others.
